Bell & Ross expands its copper case offerings with new product BR 03-92 Diver Black & Bronze Bluethe latest model in the watchmaker’s dive watch collection.
New Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Black & Blue Bronze.
Featuring a color that may be reminiscent of the recent green dial additions to the above-ground BR 05 collection, the new watch’s dial appears in a subdued matte green instead of glossy green like the previous above ground examples.
Bell & Ross combines a green dial with a bronze case that perfectly matches the existing bronze case offerings of this collection. Last year, the watchmaker launched a new model in bronze, and a year before that, we saw the launch of two bronze-cased BR 03 Dive models.
Many collectors value bronze cases for their ability to show the results of oxidation, a process that creates a distinct brown, red or green patina on each watch. Bronze is also the alloy of choice for sailboat accessories. As Bell & Ross notes, “Bronze gives the watch extra soul and puts the wearer in touch with nature.”
Like all Bell & Ross diving watches, the model is new BR 03-92 Diver Black & Bronze Blue Built to meet international standard ISO-6425. This standard stipulates that “diving watches” must withstand immersion in water to a depth of at least 100 meters and have a clear time control system, among other dive-ready specifications.
Bell & Ross uses the automatic BR-CAL.302 movement (based on the Sellita SW300-1) that beats at 28,800 vibrations/hour and guarantees a power reserve of 54 hours.
To protect the movement, the solid steel caseback is engraved with the image of a classic bronze diver’s helmet. Bell & Ross attaches the case to a black rubber strap made of ‘super elastic’ black synthetic fabric.
