MATCH PREFERENCE
Bayern Munich is used to winning the Bundesliga. Even so, this is special.
Not only is this Bayern’s 10th consecutive season – a feat unmatched in any of Europe’s top five leagues – but the club can also claim the title at home on Wednesday. Seven with victory in the match “Klassiker” against Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern’s stadium will be packed for the match, making a difference from celebrating the title twice on empty arenas amid the pandemic.

Ten titles in a row would be a historic achievement for Bayern but less helpful for the Bundesliga. Stagnation at the top made it harder to sell to an international audience.
Winning the league met only minimal expectations for Nagelsmann in the first year of his five-year contract.
“I think if I didn’t win it with the team, then I wouldn’t be the coach here anymore,” he said.
Dortmund are nine points ahead of Bayern with four games remaining and will need a big win on Saturday and a dramatic Bayern collapse to have any hope of winning the title. However, very keen to ruin the Bayern party.
Bayern have won the last seven times against Dortmund, although the most recent encounter was a tough one and ended amid bitter comments.
Bayern won 3-2 thanks to two goals from Robert Lewandowski but all focus was on referee Felix Zwayer after Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham used a post-match interview to reiterate Zwayer’s link to the club. a match-fixing case in 2005. Bellingham was later fined.
It could be the last “Klassiker” for Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, with the Norwegian being linked with a move to Manchester City at the end of the season.
