AWS Launches Innovative AI Program With $100 Million

Amazon Web Services this week announced a new artificial intelligence initiative designed to help customers in multiple industries better leverage advances in machine learning and automation, and expand the range of High-value use cases based on best practices and industry expertise.

WHY IT IMPORTANT

The cloud giant says it will connect AI and ML experts in the AWS Partner Network — strategists, data scientists, engineers, and solution architects — to work. “step-by-step” with customers globally and envision, design, and launch next-generation AI products, services, and processes.

Participating in the AWS general AI program are Twilio and Highspot, among others.

Kurt Berglund, vice president of science at Highspot, said: “The AWS Innovative AI Innovation Hub is providing us with new solutions and innovative guidance for some of the most complex challenges and opportunities facing the industry. involved in bringing innovative AI workloads to life at scale”. Highspot is a platform that life sciences sales reps use to provide data to healthcare leads. The company is working with the Innovation Hub to select generalized AI models, define pathways to navigate technical or business challenges, develop proof of concept, and scale solutions across large scale, according to AWS.

Twilio is a customer acquisition platform that several health systems and healthcare organizations use to engage patients.

Kathryn Murphy, Twilio’s senior vice president of product management, adds: “Our goal with Twilio CustomerAI is to empower businesses to leverage both generalized and predictive intelligence to help they better understand and deliver deeper value to their customers.”

“AWS and Twilio are longtime technology partners, and we’re proud to innovate predictive AI together, using Amazon SageMaker, and welcome future collaboration around generative AI,” she said.

AWS says the program is focused on providing guidance for “responsible” adoption of general AI and optimizing ML to “reduce costs”.

Customers in the new AWS program will take advantage of generic AI services such as Amazon CodeWhisperer and Amazon Bedrock – a fully managed service for generating platform models from multiple vendors.

TREND TO BIGGER WOMAN

The company says millions of customers from fast-growing startups, large enterprises, and government agencies power their infrastructure on AWS.

In healthcare, cloud computing can make personalized care, value-based care, and genomics research possible.

However, because clinical data comes in so many forms, formats, and systems, the cloud-based AI and ML tools that are relied upon to process the data are incomplete and have no structure and interoperability. Shepherd, according to Phoebe Yang, is currently the board director of both GE Healthcare and Doximity.

“Health care is more clinically effective and cost-effective when it prevents problems rather than reacting to them,” she said. Healthcare IT News formerly as AWS general manager for nonprofit healthcare.

She advises that while AI and ML silent data computation can better manage population health and drive value and efficiency across the healthcare system, reconciling value of large-scale centralized data lakes and the need to maintain privacy must also be addressed.

“This is a critical boundary that cannot work if the data flow is interrupted or disjointed anywhere in the process.”

Earlier this month, AWS rolled out new updates to support FHIR standards on Amazon HealthLake to comply with interoperability rules set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Office of the National Coordinator. Issued by experts on Health IT to enhance data sharing.

ON PROFILE

“Amazon has over 25 years of AI experience, and over 100,000 customers have used AWS AI and ML services to address some of their biggest opportunities and challenges,” said Matt Garman, senior vice president AWS global sales, marketing, and services, in the announcement. “Now, customers globally are hungry for guidance on how to get started quickly and securely with improved AI.”
