Arch Manning Update: His Place in His College Recruitment

On National Signing Day 2021, there’s a big name in high school football that has gone missing from the headlines: Arch Manning.

The reason you haven’t heard about where the No. 1 player on the high school team is going is because Manning is just a junior in high school. Manning is the #1 rookie for the Class of 2023, so we may have to wait a while to see where Manning goes.

But, a decision on Manning’s legacy could come as early as December 2022. Here’s the latest news on Manning’s college recruiting journey.

Who is Arch Manning?

Arch Manning is the number 1 rookie of football in 2023 and a 5-star defender. He is the son of Cooper Manning, and his uncles are legendary NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli, and his grandfather is Archie.

Which schools are learning about Arch Manning?

Manning has yet to decide where he’ll go to college, but he has plenty of offers. Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Texas, Tennessee (where Peyton went) and Ole Miss (where Eli and Archie went) offered Arch a spot on their team after he graduated. He visited schools this year, along with attending some of their soccer games.

But, when should we expect Manning to commit to a school? In October, Manning spoke to Sports Illustrated and suggested that his decision could be made before Independence Day 2022.

“I think I’ll have a good idea, a good feeling, maybe around next summer or next spring,” Manning said. “Right now I don’t know.”

As a midfielder, Manning will most likely make a decision soon on where he wants to attend, but he won’t officially sign until December next year.
