Then, in 2015, he made a Crime including a home invasion, carjacking and a police chase, according to the Marshals Service. In March 2016 he was indicted on 15 counts and ultimately convicted on those 7 counts, including attempted murder and robbery, according to Alabama records. He is serving a 75-year prison sentence on those charges.

According to the Police Department, White allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and her sister in 2015 if he got out of jail and said he wanted the police to kill him. The agency said it notified “potential targets” of the threat and took protective actions.

Josh Goan was one of the victims in the 2015 case. He said White broke into his truck, stole his gun, and then used the gun to rob his neighbor and the child. neighbor’s infant. Goan was a witness in the trial and told CNN it was a surreal experience to see how little White regretted it.

“I’m very pleased that they gave him enough time that by the time – if he – were to get out, he wouldn’t be able to do anything. I had security in there and certainly lost a bit of composure. quiet (since the escape),” he said. “The fact that he’s out of the world is a terrible thing for society.”

White is serving a 75-year prison sentence at the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Jefferson County, Alabama.

But in 2020, he allegedly confessed to the fatal stabbing in 2015 Connie Ridgeway 59 years old and was charged with two counts of murder. He pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity and was taken to the Lauderdale County detention center to attend court hearings on the case, authorities said.

Before running away, Casey White and Vicky White developed a “special relationship,” including complementary food, Singleton said.

“We have learned that Casey White has special privileges and is treated differently while in the facility than other inmates,” he said.

Likewise, Casey White had previously earned the trust of officials from the Limestone County Sheriff’s office.

“When he was in Limestone County after a short time, he gained the trust of the Sheriff’s Department at the time, and they allowed him to serve as a trustee in the prison,” Bryant told WAFF. CNN has reached out to the Limestone County Sheriff’s office for more information about its trustee program.
