Former RHOC star Vicki Gunvalson has revealed she has been battling cancer for two years.
“I have cancer! I just had a total hysterectomy,” she told Jeff Lewis on his Sirius XM Rado Show.
In a statement to Celebuzz!, she said: “I was diagnosed with uterine cancer almost 2 years ago and I shared it on the Jeff Lewis Podcast when I came out last week. Due to being diagnosed , I had to go through an incomplete election. hysterectomy. I was lucky enough to detect it early by always following the annual schedule.”
She continued, “While I have lived my life in the public eye for more than 15 years, at this point in my life I have decided to keep this particular health diagnosis private. Nor am I seeking information. I feel sorry to reveal this, but most importantly I encourage women to get a pap smear every year, because I don’t have any symptoms. Otherwise, it could very well be much more serious.”
