* Salloum was born and raised in Lebanon, and may be the first professional boxer to make that distinction, as Mahmoud Charr, a former “regular” WBA heavyweight champion, more or less grew up. In Germany.
* Currently Saloum lives in Brooklyn, and came to the United States almost exclusively to pursue a career as a professional boxer. Along the way, he sold what he owned and bet it all on himself. His family was initially opposed to this mission, but now they are firmly in his corner
* Salloum requires a few extra games in Mexico, which would lift his record to 11-1. Officially, as it stands, his professional debut took place in Tijuana in November 2017, the knockout of Dario Cervantes in the first round. He wasn’t so lucky in the second match, as he lost by majority decision to Afunwa King.
* Since that defeat, he’s had seven straight wins. He was renewed by Roger Robidoux at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens on March 24, but walked away with a decisive victory in six innings.
* His final match was a sixth round TKO against the previously undefeated Jorge Leandro Capozucco at Sony Hall on October 13.
* Salloum is managed by Adam Glenn, son of legendary trainer (and bar owner) Jimmy Glenn.
* He is known by the nickname “The Unpredictable”. And come to think of it, he’s actually quite unusual in his style.
* One of Saloum’s ambitions is to one day set up a gym in his hometown of Lebanon and help develop the talent he claims to be there.

* Perez, who had a difficult childhood, was raised by his maternal grandparents. His grandfather initially got him interested in boxing. And he went on to have an extensive amateur career, going 85-15, though he wasn’t necessarily decorated much.
* Turned pro with a four-round decision against Hector Collado in July 2010.
* Perez is no stranger to the gyms in Philadelphia or the arenas in Philadelphia. He had impressive wins in City of Brotherly Love against Tyrone Brunson and Jessie Nicklow. He also decided on Dante Moore, who had previously been unbeaten.
* Perez made a major breakthrough with the decisive ten-round decision against Juan Ubakldo Cabrera 23-0 in August 2015. That gave him nine wins over a ten-game span and late. together put him in a January 2016 duel with Rob Brant.
* The fight with Brant is for the NABA middleweight belt. And it wasn’t a party for Perez, who had to drop as much as £160 on it. In the fourth inning, Perez was caught with a right-handed blow that knocked him unconscious and brought him almost completely over the rope. Brant went on to win WBA titles. Perez continued to lose to Dashon Johnson, a pervert with a 19-19-4 record.
* In September 2018, Perez defeated Antowyan Aikens in a decisive eight-round match in a brutal match in which both men hit the floor. Perez won the New Jersey 168-pound title, but he hasn’t fought back in three years.
* Back from a hiatus with TKO-3 against Lauro Alcantar. In his final match, on March 26, he won a majority decision against Rance Ward.
* Played 142 rounds in his career. This number is nearly 100 more than Nadim Salloum (46).
