Adrian’s Cheltenham Festival Tracker: ‘Catch 10-1 while you can’
Welcome to Cheltenham Festival 2022 track where I will keep a log of all my bets prior to posting. We are now into November and after an exciting November meeting at Cheltenham we move on to Betfair Chase weekend.
I will have a pick for all my followers weekly and will only pick one horse per race. All my horses will be found at the end of my weekly posts. So let’s move on to my second pick, arguably the most exciting race over the fence of the week if it all comes up.
Champion Chase
Nube Negra won the Emphatic Shloer Chase last weekend and I look like a major championship contender for Champion Chase. Dan Skelton is a coach who wants to go right to the top and I think he will get there because he has the will to do it.
This horse was beaten half length by Put The Kettle On in the Champion Chase race at the Festival back in March. However, Nube Negra made that mare’s minced meat over the weekend, which to be fair isn’t anywhere near her the best.
He comfortably beat a very classy executive and a solid metric at the Politologue and still to see him 10-1 for the show event in March is surprising.
Skelton would definitely put him away with March right now and if he is on the same form he could be hard to beat. The race’s current favorite, Shishkin, looks like a monster but he has to prove he can do it right at the top level.
A good spring platform would suit Nube Negra and I would be surprised if he didn’t at least half the price he was on for the day.
