AAT Hyping Hearing Daily Maximum Temperature – Friday, February 3

We, the Australian public, are constantly informed by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology that global temperatures need to be capped at 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Furthermore, the Bureau considers that the ‘hot record-breaking rate observed in recent Australian temperatures’ is significantly increased for anthropogenic global warming.

But what if at least part of this warming is natural, and what if another component can be attributed to the current way temperatures are recorded – with probes in the Electronic weather stations replaced mercury thermometers – and then remodeled through homogenization.

To some extent, the Bureau records the extent of remodeling technically known as homogenization, but the Bureau has never publicly disclosed the extent of the difference between the temperature recorded from a mercury thermometer and a natural weather station. new electronics.

The work that I have done with John Abbot shows that even If it weren’t for the industrial revolution, the temperature would have risen by about 1C through the 20th Century.

The limited parallel data I secured from the Bureau, following the intervention of Josh Frydenberg in 2017, shows that probes in automated weather stations typically record 0.4C . warmer than mercury thermometers for the same weather.

The AAT hearing on Friday talks about the need to make data public in parallel, so we can see how recent warming can be directly attributed to a change in the way temperatures are measured.

The striking image was taken by Craig Kelly and featured in an article in The Daily Telegraph today by Clarissa Bye titled ‘Slightly hot and uncomfortable? BoM is silent on suspicion of changing solar panels’. It cites my question as to why the Board has temporarily placed a solar panel near the weather station for the Sydney Observatory, especially when it appears the weather station is recording a sequence of record cool day.
