A graduate student from NYAA used the Cappasity 3D platform to sculpt a portrait of Brooke Shields
Cappasity and the New York Academy of the Arts have collaborated for many years to implement innovative technologies into student education. This time, Cappasity’s 3DShot app was used to digitize American actress Brooke Shields in 3D and sculpt her portrait based on her digital twins.

Irina Lakshin, a graduate of the New York Academy of Arts, tried the 3DShot app and came up with an amazing idea – she decided to digitize Brooke Shields in 3D using the app and use the resulting 3D images as a resource. Reference material to sculpt portraits of actresses. The problem is that Brooke has a very busy schedule and technology has allowed her to avoid posing for a long time. Sculpting a portrait from life can take several days, depending on the sculptor’s experience and the complexity of the work, so a model often has to stay in shape for a very long time. But if a sculptor creates a digital copy of the model in Cappasity 3D View format, they can examine the model at any time and from any perceptual angle. This significantly saves modeling time and makes the sculpting process more convenient for the creator.
