International flights to return to Regina and Saskatoon
Air travellers, have your passports prepared as international flights from Regina and Saskatoon will reopen on Nov. 30, 2021.
The Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe tweeted “the excellent news” on Tuesday.
“We look ahead to the airways resuming direct flights from SK to locations within the US and different nations,” Moe’s tweet stated.
This announcement comes from the Authorities of Canada on Tuesday morning. The Regina Airport Authority confirmed the announcement, stating that during the last 20 months, it has been working with the federal, provincial and municipal governments to make sure folks can journey safely.
“With the current removing of the federal authorities’s non-essential journey advisory, and now, the return of worldwide flights to YQR, we’re very excited to welcome again travellers on direct flights to quite a lot of unbelievable solar vacation spot,” stated James Bogusz, the president and CEO of Regina Airport Authority.
The federal authorities stated Tuesday that eight further airports in Canada shall be accepting worldwide flights, together with the 2 in Saskatchewan.
