Helldivers, when you’re on the front lines, pouring ammo into swarms of Terminids, do you ever feel like a space bug exterminator? I know I do and that’s why I’m really excited to tell you about our next Warbond*: Chemical Agents! This game has some seriously dangerous toys.
I’ll start with everyone’s favorite part of the Warbond: the attack gear. The first thing a Terminid exterminator needs is a good high-pressure sprayer. The TX-41 Disinfectant is the tool of the trade, ready to spray down the threat with chemical gas.

And if the bugs are on your tail, don’t worry – your little flatulent friend, the AX/TX-13 “Guard Dog” Dog Breath, won’t let them attack you until it sprays them with its corrosive gas nozzle. If there are still some enemies left after the ruse is done, hit them with a G-4 gas grenade. Cover the entire area with a cloud of toxic smoke, Helldiver!

Adding Ruse variants to Warbonds is new to Chemical Agents, but our designers felt that since gas is a crowd control tool, it made more sense to roll out Ruse and let Helldivers pick the primary weapon they love the most. Not only that, but this adds some serious variety to Chemical Agents that we hope players will enjoy.

Now let’s talk drips. Super Earth’s bug exterminators have access to some killer threads in Chemical Agents. First, these suits have the Enhanced Filter passive, which helps players resist the gas clouds they’ll create with their new toys, including the toxic cloud created by the Orbital Gas Attack tactic. The AF-50 Noxious Ranger is a lightweight suit that pairs best with the Standard Safe Distance cloak. If you really want to max out your protection, you’ve got the medium AF-02 Haz-Master cloak and the matching Patient Zero’s Remembrance cloak. Each set also has a coordinating player card to match the cloak.

Our players have been asking for more emotes, and the ones that come with Chemical Agents are some of our best yet. Want to know how to tell a joke in Helldivers 2 with your mic off? Use the Natural Gas Extraction emote, of course. See if you can convince your entire squad to pull their fingers. And when you all get back to your ship, they can show off their disgust with the Ew victory pose.

We’re adding another set of patterns for your Hellpods, Pelican-1s, and exosuits in Mustard – not the sausage stuffer kind – this is the deadly kind. If at any point your squad wanders into your toxic cloud, you can use the new P-11 Stim Pistol gadget to heal them slightly from a safe distance.

Finally, if you really want to dive into this role, Chemical Agents will have a new title for players – Pest Control Expert.
