Price and specifications of KGM SsangYong Torres 2025
SsangYong Australia is rebranding and simultaneously launching a new mid-size SUV with bolder styling.
The company is now known as KGM SsangYong Australia and the new company KGM SsangYong Torres is the first new model to be launched.
The product will be available in October.
The company is certainly hoping Torres will help them break through in the slow-selling mid-size SUV segment. Korando never possible
Although they look very different from the Korando, mechanically they both share the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.
Despite launching with a petrol engine, the company has previously confirmed that the Torres EVX electric model will also be available in Australia in Q4 2024.
The Torres was revealed in 2022 and SsangYong previously cited strong demand in South Korea as the reason for the SUV’s delayed launch there.
With a base price of $38,000, the cheapest Torres costs about the same as the most expensive Korando.
The Korando ELX costs $33,000 while the Ultimate costs $39,000, although you can get it for less if you’re an ABN cardholder or buying a 2023 model.
