Tesla Cybertrucks Complete 5,500-Mile Trip to the Arctic Coast

I admit, I never expected to scream “woo hoo!” about something done by a Electric Truckbut the expedition from South Florida to the Arctic Ocean Completing this week is an incredible feat, one that organizers should be proud of regardless of what vehicle they use, especially an electric vehicle.

It wasn’t always smooth sailing for the three Cybertruck owners who initially set out from Florida. As it turns out, charging infrastructure is still pretty light north of the 49th parallel. Still, the guys managed to get their massive EVs all the way to the water’s edge at the top of the world without needing to bring a generator or any other little cheats along the way, according to the report. Futurism:

And no, as the group member nicknamed Bearded Tesla reassured. FuturismThe group did not even carry backup generators to be able to travel hundreds of miles through this extremely sparsely populated area.

In fact, along the way, the team donated Tesla Wall Connectors, Level 2 EV chargers designed for home use, to local businesses along the way.

“We’ve worked with local businesses to strategically place level 2 chargers along the route so all the electric vehicles can make the journey after us,” he said. Futurism. “They will be there for future travelers. They will be on the Tesla map in the car when it comes online.”

“This is 100 percent electric, no generators,” he added. “We have a special mission, which is to electrify Dempster.”

The team hopes to promote a “sustainable energy future” through their journey. And judging by the number of brand-new EV chargers gracing the walls of auto dealerships across the Yukon and Northwest Territories, it’s been a huge success.

“This is a victory for ALL electric cars today!” Bearded Tesla tweeted.

This is a pretty smart move, which will hopefully bring new energy to building electric vehicle infrastructure in rural areas.

Have you ever wanted to do something so badly that you can’t help but envy the people who actually get to do it? You just feel this overwhelming sense of “cool, man.” That’s me and driving to the Arctic Circle. It’s just an awesome thing to do, and everyone at Arctic Cybertrek should be proud.
