Race Lens subscribers will have exclusive NHC competition


Equibase, the industry’s official database for horse racing, and the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) today announced “The Race to the National Horseracing Championship (NHC),” a series of 25 free handicapping contests available exclusively to subscribers of Race Lens, Equibase’s interactive past performance product.

The weekly free competition series will lead to the “Race Lens Final 50,” an end-of-season qualifier that will send two Race Lens entrants to the 2025 National Horse Racing Championships in Las Vegas on March 14-16, 2025. All competitions will be held on Horseplayers.comThe official online qualifying site for the NHC and Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge.

“NTRA has done a great job over the years and we are excited to partner on this great opportunity for our Race Lens customers,” said Kyle McDoniel, President and CEO of Equibase. “We hope that those who have never tried Race Lens or are not currently active subscribers will take advantage of this opportunity.”

“Race to NHC” will start on September 7 Horseplayers.com and continue every Saturday with an additional day until February 15, 2025. The top two contestants from each weekly contest will qualify for the Race Lens Final 50 on February 22. The top two finishers of the Race Lens Final 50 will win a trip to the NHC, a four-night stay at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, and a $500 voucher sponsored by Race Lens. The third through seventh place finishers will qualify for the Last Chance/First Chance contest held before the NHC, also at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas.

The weekly “Race to the NHC” competition is free to Race Lens customers with a monthly, quarterly or annual Race Lens subscription. Special pricing on all Race Lens subscriptions is also available.
