Product strategy continues to change at Porsche as the market changes.
In one Interview with AutocarMichael Steiner, Porsche’s head of research and development, said. Gasoline-powered Panamera will coexist with the next generation of electric cars in showrooms.
“The new Cayenne is fully electric, but throughout its entire life cycle we will use the ICE version in parallel. The same goes for the Panamera,” Steiner said.
The updated model line and model cycle are not limited to the Panamera and Cayenne.
The Porsche Macan electric carwill be coming to the United States in the coming weeks, will sold with gas model in the coming years. The Macan EV has received lower prices and possibly wider range for 2025.

Porsche will have more electric SUVs. Top electric SUV will launch later and be positioned above the next-generation Cayenne. The as-yet-unnamed electric SUV will be based on the Volkswagen Group’s Scalable System Platform (SSP), with Porsche using a specific “Sport” version of the SSP for the model.
The automaker says the electric SUV will offer “powerful performance and autonomous driving functionality with Porsche’s signature lines.” The interior is billed as “a completely new experience.”
In the coming years, Porsche showrooms will finally have three electric SUVs and an electric hatchback in the form of the next-generation Panamera.
