Live Oak Plantation Ticker Tape Home recorded her first success on August 24, winning the CA$153,240 Seaway Stakes (G3) at Honeysuckle.
This is the first ranked win for Ticker Tape Home—a subsidiary of Gold Medal out of War front mare Journey home —who won last year’s restricted Fury Stakes at Woodbine.
Trained by Mark Casse, the 4-year-old dark or light brown mare, bred by Sam-Son Farm, won her previous start at Seaway, by 1 1/4 lengths in a six-furlong optional second-place race over the EP Taylor track on July 21.
Owen’s Tour Guide And Time passes The duel came as soon as the gates opened at Seaway, a seven-furlong main track for mares and fillies. Ticker Tape Home was a couple of lengths behind the leaders in fourth place in the opening quarter in a time of :22.62.

Owen’s Tour Guide and Time Passage found themselves under heavy pressure from a host of rivals exiting the turn, including Gal in a Rush, who charged in from the outside, full of power. Ticker Tape Home began to make inroads along the track, but still had a lot of work to do to catch the new leader.
With less than 70 yards to go, Ticker Tape Home passed Gal in a Rush and won in 1:23.10. Queen Macha is third and Metaphysics finished fourth. Ticker Tape Home paid $12.40 to win.
“The two starts (earlier this year at Gulfstream) she crossed the border were both sprints, and she really didn’t have the speed at five-eighths,” said winning jockey Patrick Husbands, who finished fourth with Ticker Tape Home in the Seaway last year. “But at six, six-and-a-half, seven—she was dangerous.”
It was the fourth win in 15 starts for Ticker Tape Home, who was purchased for $625,000 at Fasig-Tipton’s The Saratoga Sale in 2021.
