But this week, that lament turned to an expression of joy, as his wife, Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin), gave birth to the couple’s first child.
The couple broke the news via Instagram, which has long been their channel of choice. A photo of a newborn’s foot, caressed with a French manicure, was captioned “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER” on Justin’s feed on Friday, a bear emoji punctuating the all-caps announcement. Wife Hailey soon shared the post to her Instagram stories.
Hailey and Justin Bieber also took to Instagram to let the world know they were expecting in May, posting a series of photos depicting their vow renewal ceremony in a meadow hosted by Judah SmithThe beleaguered pastor of the Churchome megachurch in Seattle. In the photos, Hailey wears a dress that appears to reveal her baby bump, and in some photos, Justin cradles her rounded belly. In a subsequent series of photos, he appeared to confirm the news, captioning one photo: “They want a baby, they do.”
This is the couple’s first child, who will celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary in September. Beyond that, we don’t know much: Neither Justin’s nor Hailey’s reps responded.
