KLIA Transit offers 50% discount for Merdeka Day celebrations in Putrajaya, adds trains from KL Sentral

Want to attend the Merdeka Day celebrations and join in the festivities in Putrajaya but don’t want to drive there and find parking? Take the train there.

The KLIA Transit trains from KL Sentral to the airport stop at Putrajaya and they are offering a 50% discount for travel on 31 August. Bookings are open from today (23 August) until Merdeka Day. There is no word on whether the discount is only for travel to and from Putrajaya, so those heading to the airport can also enjoy the half-price discount.

To meet the increased passenger demand during this period, KLIA Transit will run additional trains from KL Sentral on the eve of National Day (1am, 30 August) and on the big day itself, from KL Sentral (4am, 4.30am) and KLIA T2 (4.30am).
