Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years – limited to 1,974 units

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Edition has been launched to celebrate five decades since the launch of the high-performance turbocharged version of the Porsche 911 in 1974. Based on 911 Turbo S belong to 992 generation recently awarded mid-life updateThe Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is limited to 1,974 units to celebrate the first year of the car’s launch.

True to form, the 911 Turbo 50 Years is a special edition that pays tribute to the brand’s past models with various visual elements on the car. The side vinyl graphics recall the paintwork of the 1973 911 RSR Turbo, with the recently introduced Turbonite color, exclusive to the Turbo variants of the current Porsche model line, being introduced for the first time on Third generation Panamera.

Turbonite is also applied to the engine cover, fuel tank cover and Porsche logo, as well as to the logo of the limited-edition ‘Turbo 50’ model.

Meanwhile, Anthracite Grey is used on the rear spoiler, rear apron, mirror bases and air intake surrounds, while the badge on the engine cover grille displays the turbocharger emblem and the inscription ‘1974-2024’. The LED door puddle lights show the turbocharger on the ground when activated, and the current 911 Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels also feature a Turbonite finish.

More historic design references can be found in the 911 Turbo 50 Years, with Mackenzie tartan on the seat centre panels and interior door panels. Similar to the exterior accents, the cabin is finished in Turbonite on the seatbelts, controls, decorative stitching, black leather inlays and the Porsche badge on the steering wheel.

The ‘Turbo 50’ logo is found on the illuminated door sills in brushed black aluminium, and is also embroidered into the headrests of the standard sports seats. A commemorative aluminium plaque sits above the glove compartment, also bearing the ‘Turbo 50’ logo and the limited edition number of the car. The A-pillars, sun visors and roof lining are made from perforated Race-Tex, while the Porsche Design Subsecond clock on the dashboard also features a special Turbo 50 design.

The vehicle can be further specified via the Turbo 50 Years Heritage Design Package, which adds metallic Aventurine Green paint, graphics with individually selectable numbers from 0 to 99, the Turbo 50 Years logo and the Porsche logo. Customers can choose to have all, some or none of the Heritage design elements on their vehicle.

The Heritage Design Package also brings Sport Classic design wheels in silver and white, along with a 1964 version of the historic Porsche emblem on the bonnet and on the wheel hub caps, with the ‘Turbo 50’ and Porsche logos in gold. Inside, the dials of the instrument cluster and the Sport Chrono clock are green when the Heritage Design Package is selected.

The basic hardware is carried over from the 992-generation 911 Turbo S, meaning the powertrain is a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six with variable geometry turbocharger (VGT), producing 650 PS and 800 Nm of torque to all four wheels via an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in 8.9 seconds.

A sports exhaust system is standard, while the 10mm-lowered PASM adaptive suspension with front axle lift is also standard on the 911 Turbo 50 Years. Brakes are PCCB carbon-ceramic units as standard, here on the Turbo 50 with black calipers.
