The base version of the Tesla Model 3 has cloth seats, single-tone ambient lighting; no rear-seat screens.
The Tesla Model 3 lineup has been updated to include a lower-spec version that replaces the existing rear-wheel drive Model 3 in Mexico. This is a base version that sits below the Model 3 Long Range and Model 3 Performance.

Changes to the specifications of the base Model 3 in Mexico also include heating and cooling equipment, specifically the front and rear seats no longer have heating and cooling functions, as well as the steering wheel no longer has a heating function.
Infotainment specs are also affected, as the base Model 3 RWD for Mexico loses the 8-inch rear passenger display, in addition to the main touchscreen that comes standard on the Model 3.
Elsewhere, the multi-color ambient lighting on the updated Model 3 Highland has been simplified on the base model to just white lights. The audio specs have also been downgraded, with the number of speakers reduced from 17 to nine, which also means the removal of the subwoofer and the in-car audio system has been reduced to a single amplifier.
The Tesla Mexico website lists a range of 439 km (EPA-estimated) for the base, lower-spec Model 3 RWD, priced from 749,000 pesos (RM175,696), while the higher-spec Model 3 Long Range starts at 879,000 pesos (RM206,187) and the Model 3 Performance at 1,029,000 pesos (RM241,383).
In Malaysia, the Tesla Model 3 retains its current pricing, which was last revised in April this year when prices were slashed by RM8k across the board; hence, prices continue to be RM181k for the Model 3 RWD, RM210k for the Long Range AWD and RM242k for the Model 3 Performance.
