The Volvo EX30 is one of the most interesting EVs around, perhaps because it’s so different. It’s unique in design (so cool), unique in size (tiny, and not just for a Volvo), unique in user interface (you’ve probably heard of the no-button, no-gauge/HUD approach), and – as Hafriz Shah discovered in Sweden – unique in driving. The latter was a surprise to testers.

The Core Single Motor Extended Range and Ultra Single Motor Extended Range feature a rear-mounted motor rated at 272 PS (200 kW) and 343 Nm, with a WLTP range of 480 km. The top-spec Ultra Twin Motor Performance adds a front motor for 428 PS (315 kW), 543 Nm and a WLTP range of 460 km.

Through inside IndonesiaThere’s no AWD model, but RWD buyers have a choice of two battery packs. The base Plus trim gets a 51 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack good for 215 miles of range, while the top-of-the-line Ultra Extended Range trim gets a 69 kWh NMC battery good for 300 miles of range.
