The Land Transport Authority (JPJ) recorded over RM28 million in revenue last month through MyJPJ Digital AppAfter the division introduced online transactions last June, it reported Bernama.

Thus, the payment amount received through the new FPX payment gateway is nine times higher than the RM3 million collected through MySikap Portal during the same period, JPJ general manager Aedy Fadly Ramli said in an interview with the news agency.

“We have received positive feedback from MyJPJ users choosing to transact online, [and] “This marks a new milestone for JPJ,” he said, adding that the success of the digital application demonstrates the public’s recognition of the convenience the department provides through digital services that have reduced the need to physically visit to renew Malaysian driving licenses and motor vehicle licenses.

Aedy Fadly said that the MyJPJ app will be further developed and announced that the Malaysian government, through JPJ, plans to release the second version of the app by the end of next year.

“Planning for a new tender for the second version of MyJPJ has been completed, but needs to be reviewed by the Ministry of Digital. This upgraded version will address some issues and complaints raised by users,” said the JPJ Director General.
