Dodge has given actual pricing, and it looks like the milestones have barely changed. Let’s get the big one out of the way first, MSRP. The 2024 Charger The Daytona R/T will start at $59,995 before a $1,995 destination charge, or $61,990 before options. That’s $8,575 less than the rumor the price we just posted two days ago. But more on that difference later.
Dodge says the 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack will start at $75,185 after delivery, $8,980 less than the rumored price a few days ago.
Digging into the specs, the official standard equipment is also different from what was originally seller The manual is said to have shown. Based on those instructions and the MSRP screenshot, at launch we expect an R/T equipped with the $4,995 Plus Group, the $1,095 Blacktop Package, and the $2,495 Sun & Sound Group. The total price of those options is $8,585—roughly the expected difference between the official price and the Stellantis’ computer-generated MSRP.
It’s worth noting that Dodge has never mentioned the phrase “First Edition” in connection with its new muscle car; the closest it’s come to it is “Inauguration Year” when talking about what’s included in the MSRP of the Scat Pack for 2024. That computer screenshot calls the three-option R/T package the Customer Priority Package. What we mean is, we don’t know if Dodge was preparing everything for a big debut in the first year at a high price but decided to back out, or if we’re applying our idea of a familiar First Edition manual to the Charger launch. Either way, the First Edition ingredients are there.
While we’re here, let’s clarify about Plus Group. It offers different options depending on the style, for the same price. For both styles, Plus Group adds:
- 360 degree panoramic camera
- Attitude Adjustment Light
- Dodge logo exterior puddle lights
- Trunk
- Premium Door Panels and IP
- High-end LED headlights
- Electric shutter
- Wireless charging pad
That’s right, you won’t get front cargo space until you pay the $4,995 fee.
On R/T, this group also provides:
- 16 inches color Driver’s display
- 20×9 inch aluminum wheels
- Luxury security alarm
- Head-up display
- Ventilated low-back leatherette bucket seats
A 16-inch driver display, alarm, and HUD are standard on the Scat Pack. The only other change on the higher trim is perforated leather high-back bucket seats instead of the R/T’s low-back faux leather seats. Dodge says the Plus Group also comes with “More Extra Content,” without specifying.
Finally, if you like the sound of the Demonic Red chair, it will cost you an additional $495 after paying for the Plus Group.
Dodge lists exclusive options for the Scat Pack as being the $2,995 Carbon & Suede Package and $695 3-Season Tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 Tires. We and some other shops thought the Goodyear tires came with the Track Pack, but they didn’t — all season tires is the norm. Good rubber will get more expensive, and by 2025, so will Track Packs.
As for the housekeeping: Both muscle cars qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit when leaseBoth come with a Level 2 home charging station or a $600 charging credit through Stellantis’ Free2move Charge network. Production of the two-door battery-electric models will begin this summer, which is about 45 days away; four-door version down the line sometime in the first half of 2025. Gasoline-powered versions using the inline-six Hurricane engine won’t enter production until the second half of 2025.
