Mercedes-AMG A45S 4Matic+ Limited Edition – 421 PS/500 Nm launched, 10 units, RM558,888
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has introduced a limited edition of the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4Matic+ faceliftCalled – wait for it – the Limited Edition, it can only be ordered through the online showroom at Mercedes-Benz Stores and is priced at $558,888 (on the road, no insurance, including 10% ST). As the name suggests, only 10 units will be sold in the Malaysian market.
Unlike the last limited edition, Street style versionFrom a year ago, the LE will be unmistakable on the road, with its glossy AMG Green exterior paint, the AMG GT and G-Class colours that make their debut in the brand’s compact segment. Adding to the visual appeal are large ‘45 S’ door decals and a large AMG badge on the bonnet.
There are also plenty of yellow accents for contrast, and this colour also appears on the 19-inch AMG wheels in matt black with a seven-twin-spoke design unique to this version. To match the colour of the wheels, the brake calipers of the AMG high-performance braking system are in high-gloss black and feature a white AMG logo.
Elsewhere, you’ll find exclusive AMG-branded fuel filler caps and welcome door lights that project the AMG badge onto the road as you enter and exit the car. The LE also has three exterior AMG packages to further enhance the car’s styling.
In addition to the AMG Aerodynamics Package, there is also the AMG Night Package, complemented by the AMG Night Package II, which darkens the struts on the radiator surround and adds black chrome lettering on the front fenders and rear doors, the Mercedes star and, only in this version, the door handles and the Mercedes star on the hubcaps.
Inside, the yellow accents continue. The Artico/Microcut AMG performance seats feature yellow contrasting accents and decorative stitching, and the trim also features striking color accents.
Special decorative stitching also appears on the door panels, dashboard and AMG Performance steering wheel, and the embroidered 45 S emblem on the front headrests is, unsurprisingly, finished in yellow. Finally, AMG floor mats with 45 S lettering and decorative stitching in yellow and AMG door sills with yellow illumination complete the model-specific upgrades.
The A 45 S’s M139 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, eight-speed AMG Speedshift 8G dual-clutch transmission and 4Matic+ all-wheel drive remain unchanged. The engine continues to deliver 421 PS (416 hp) at 6,750 rpm and 500 Nm of torque from 5,000 rpm to 5,250 rpm, allowing the car to achieve the same 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h.
