The Machine gun 4 The Toyota Camry will no longer be sold at a nationwide discount in Australia, but the popular electric hatchback’s list price is now $2,000 to $4,000 cheaper than before.

From 1 August, the MG 4 will no longer be available across Australia, with prices starting at $39,990 for the entry-level Excite 51 and going up to $59,990 for the XPower.
Instead, the MG 4’s pre-on-road costs have been reduced by $2,000 for the Excite 51, Essence 64 and Essence 77, $3,000 for the Essence 64 and $4,000 for the XPower.

The new price brings the MG 4 closer to its list price. BYD Dolphinsimilarly sized rivals, starting at $36,890 before on-road costs.
Despite being slightly more expensive, the MG 4 was the fifth best-selling electric vehicle (EV) in Australia in the first half of 2024, registering 2,771 compared to the BYD Dolphin’s 1,248 sales.
The MG 4 is still one of Australia’s five cheapest electric cars, although that title is currently being held by MY23 MG ZS Electric Car Excite – currently $34,990 drive-away – is next GWM Ora and BYD Dolphin.
Also announced todayAll new MG vehicles purchased for non-commercial use from 1 August can also benefit from the brand’s new 10-year, 250,000km warranty – the most comprehensive warranty coverage in Australia.
Unlike Mitsubishi’s 10-year warranty – which is a basic five-year warranty, plus an additional 12 months for up to five years provided servicing is completed on time at a dealer – MG doesn’t offer any additional terms to its warranty coverage.
MG vehicles used for commercial purposes are only warranted for a maximum of seven years or 160,000km, whichever comes first.
