Martin Bakole stops Jared Anderson in five
By: Sean Crose
Jared “Big Baby” Anderson and Martin Bakole, two supersized heavyweights, met in a Los Angeles ring on Saturday night for a scheduled ten-round bout. A Bakole combination knocked Anderson down late in the first round, a round in which Anderson had fought well. Anderson got up and survived the round, but Bakole’s point had been proven. Bakole’s punches could be heard pounding into Anderson in the second round. It was clear that the American would have to find a way to stem the tide if he was to have any hope of winning.
The third round was much more competitive. Anderson was able to throw and take down his opponent effectively. Indeed, the final minute of the round became a battle between the two men. Anderson attacked Bakole in the fourth round. However, Bakole’s powerful shots were almost painful to see as they landed on Anderson’s head. Indeed, another series of strikes from Bakole knocked Anderson down again.
Anderson got up again – and was thrown back to the mat again. Anderson was up, ready to fight. The referee let the fight continue, but only for a few minutes. As Anderson was taking blows on the ropes, the referee wisely stepped in and stopped the fight.
