WhatsApp is testing a new voice chat option for Meta AI

There are many impatient users who don’t want to type long and boring prompts to AI chatbots. To address this, Meta recently released a feature in WhatsApp beta for the latest Android version (2.24.16.10) that allows users to interact with Meta AI via voice messages. WeBetaInfo shed some light on this new voice feature, as previously users could only interact via text and video.

The publication shared a screenshot that shows a glimpse of a conversation using the new feature. The image shows the voice message option displayed on the right in the Meta AI interface. This screenshot suggests that voice message interactions with the chatbot can be similar to regular interactions.

While Meta has not released any information regarding the languages ​​that Meta AI’s new voice messaging feature will work in, it is expected that Meta will push for multilingual support as it has a large user base in South Asian countries.
