Alexa Chung and Katie Holmes both wear chic almond-toe flats

As well as building a long and impressive career, Katie Holmes And Alexa Chung share another thing in common: great taste in clothes and accessories. They both have a penchant for classic design and basics, and we saw that come to the fore this week.

In just a few days, I discovered that Holmes and Chung have embraced a little-known but incredibly chic shoe trend that fashionistas rely on to elevate their everyday style. Dresses square nose or rounded designs, both tap into the almond-toe shoe trend to complete their casual looks.

Opting for an all-black look, Holmes opted for black almond-toe ballet flats paired with white high-waisted trousers and a comfortable black T-shirt. Using the sleek shoes to round off the casual look, Holmes struck the right balance between smart and casual, while staying true to her signature casual style.

For a more playful look, Chung opted for a pair of sparkly silver pumps to pair with her black flared jeans. Featuring a similar almond-toe design, Chung’s shoes brightened up her denim outfit in a stylish way.

Lengthening the leg, the shoe curves around the foot, ending in a rounded toe rather than a fully rounded toe, giving it an inherently luxurious feel.
