Vivo V40 Pro specifications revealed ahead of V40 launch in India: Camera, chipset and more

The Vivo V40 series of smartphones – the V40 and V40 Pro – are expected to launch in India in August 2024. Ahead of the launch, Vivo has released details about the upcoming V40 series of smartphones, revealing key features and specifications. Here’s everything we know so far.

Vivo V40 series camera details and more revealed

Phone Vivo V40 Pro smartphone is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back. It will feature a 50MP Zeiss primary camera with Sony IMX816 sensor. Along with that, Vivo V40 Pro will have a 50MP telephoto lens with Sony IMX816 sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. It will also boast 2x optical zoom and ZEISS Hyper Zoom 50x. On the front, the Vivo V40 Pro will have a 50MP selfie camera with a 92-degree wide-angle view. The smartphone is backed by a 5,500mAh battery.

Vivo also revealed that the upcoming V40 series smartphones will be available in three colors: Lotus Purple, Ganges Blue, and Titanium Gray. The Vivo V40 Pro will also be IP68 water and dust resistant.

The Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro smartphones are expected to be the thinnest smartphones as per the company’s claims. These models are likely to come with 3D curved displays and infinity camera module designs. Both Vivo V40 Phone and the V40 Pro smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is capable of a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits.

Recalling Vivo’s recent launches, in June 2024, Vivo T3 Lite The smartphone has been launched in India. The Vivo T3 Lite is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and packs a 5,500 mAh battery. It comes in Majestic Black and Vibrant Green color options.

The basic model of Vivo T3 Lite launched with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage at a price of ₹9,999. Another model with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at ₹10,999.

The Vivo T3 Lite features expandable RAM technology with support for up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone boasts a 6.56-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 840 nits. It runs on FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 11. The phone is IP64 water-resistant and splash-proof.
