The GWM Truck unchanged in 2024, but the range is slightly narrower than last year.
By 2024, the Cannon 4×2 and Cannon-L CC 4×4 were discontinued, leaving only six variants.
“These two models have been discontinued due to low demand and reduced complexity,” a GWM Australia spokesperson said.
Current pricing extends from $38,990 for the GWM Ute Cannon 4×4 and up to $54,990 for the GWM Ute Cannon-XSR.

Cannon-XSR
In the first half of 2024, GWM sold 4,313 units in Australia. Although this figure is still far behind the best-selling brands. Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux And Isuzu D-Maxit has sold better T60 tank (3399 sales) and SsangYong Musso (2027 sales).

There are a total of six variants in the 2024 GWM Ute range.
Only the black Vanta model will increase in price in 2024. The price of the car will increase by $1000.

Transmission system
The Ute range is currently only offered with four-wheel drive.
In most Utes, this is a full-time system with selectable low-range gearing and a locking rear differential.
The Cannon-XSR features a unique part-time system with selectable low-range and front and rear differential locks, and also comes with crawl mode and Cornering Assist with Brake.

Maintenance and Warranty
Like the rest of the GWM range, the Ute is powered by Seven year, unlimited mileage warranty and five years of roadside assistance.
There’s five years of fixed-price servicing, with the first service – after six months or 5,000km – costing $260.
Subsequent services are required at 12 month/10,000km intervals and cost $360 each.
Safety
After initially failing to achieve a five-star ANCAP rating, the GWM Ute range has been revised by the factory.
In turn it was awarded a Five star safety rating from ANCAP in November 2021. However, this does not include the Cannon CC and Cannon-XSR as these models have not been tested.
The tested vehicles scored 86% for adult occupant protection, 87% for child occupant protection, 67% for vulnerable pedestrian protection and 73% for safety assist.
