Nintendo will sponsor a Nintendo World Championship: NES Version The tournament will feature many Hololive Vtubers. The tournament will air on July 29, 2024 at 8 PM JST and will feature Usada Pekora, Nekomata Okayu, Inugami Korone, and Himemori Luna as contestants. Shirakami Fubuki will be the host of the event.
The livestream will be available on Hololive’s official YouTube channel. Four participants will compete in Time Attack mode in 10 different rounds carefully selected from over 150 challenges available in the game. Each player can attempt each round up to two times and will use the fastest of the two times.
In each round, the contestant in first place will receive 4 points, second place will receive 3 points, third place will receive 2 points, and fourth place will receive a single point. The Vtuber with the highest total score after 10 rounds will be the winner of the tournament. The games presented in each round of the competition will be original Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Balloon War, Kirby’s Adventure, Donkey Kong, Super Mario 2, Zelda II: Link’s Adventure, Ice climber, MetroidAnd Super Mario 3 in order.
