Lucky Girl Leads Inglis Digital USA’s First Sales


The first auction from the Inglis Digital USA platform concluded on July 17 and was led by a $235,000 racehorse auction. Lucky girl .

The sale marks the first effort for the new Inglis Digital USA platform, which previously operated under the Wanamaker banner before partnering with Australia-based William Inglis & Son and relaunching earlier this year.

Wednesday’s auction saw 22 horses sold out of 50 on offer for a total of $456,259 and an average price of $20,739. The buyback rate was 56%.

The Irish-born five-year-old mare, a daughter of Australian champion stallion Exceed And Excel, was touted as a racehorse or breeding prospect, winning three of her 18 starts and earning $202,863.

Trained by Phil D’Amato, Lucky Girl won the 2022 Lady of Shamrock Stakes, the 2022 China Doll Stakes and the 2023 Swingtime Stakes in Southern California. She is consigned to D’Amato’s stables by Grovendale Sales, an agent. Los Alamitos Raceway.

Based in Scone, Australia, Kia Ora Stud is one of the oldest and most successful thoroughbred breeding establishments on the continent, with a history dating back over a century.
