2024 Open Championship Odds, Predictions: Scottie Scheffler’s Prediction Follows Golf Model That Has Been Successful at Previous 3 Majors

The Open Championship is golf’s oldest tournament and will return to Royal Troon for the 10th time in its history with the 2024 Open Championship starting on Thursday. Scottie Scheffler has not played professional golf since winning the Travelers Championship on June 23, but he will look to continue his dream season at the British Open Championship. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods has arrived at Royal Troon to begin his fifth season.

Scheffler has been a dominant force in golf this season and is a 4-1 favorite to win the 2024 Open Championship. As for Woods, he is a 150-1 favorite after failing to qualify at the US Open and PGA Championship. Before locking in any picks for the 2024 Open Championship or Scottie Scheffler’s props, make sure See golf predictions and projected rankings from proven computer models at SportsLine.

Top Predictions for the 2024 Open Championship

Surprise: Collin Morikawa (10-1) has a strong run for the Open Championship title. Morikawa has established himself as one of the most successful major championship players of his generation and already has a British Open title on his resume. The 27-year-old has failed to qualify for the Open Championship in back-to-back years, but he heads into Royal Troon in top form.

Morikawa is currently ranked fifth on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained (1.304), ninth in strokes gained tee-to-green (1.224), and 13th in strokes gained around the green (.390) and strokes gained off the tee (.536). He has nine consecutive top-25 finishes, including three top-five finishes. In his last 17 starts at majors, he has finished in the top 10 (nine) more times than outside the top 10 (eight). With his top-notch ball-striking and iron play, Morikawa has the potential to be a factor at the 2024 Open Championship.

The model also looked at Scheffler’s position at the 2024 Open Championship. The 28-year-old has won 12 times on the PGA Tour, with six of those victories coming in this incredible 2024 PGA Tour season. Scheffler won his second green jacket at the 2024 Masters and also had notable wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Players Championship, RBC Heritage, Memorial and Travelers Championship.

He has played 15 tournaments in 2024 and finished in the top 10 in 13 of them. He now heads to Royal Troon seeking his third major championship and has regularly put himself in contention at grand slams. He has finished in the top 10 in 11 of his last 16 major championship appearances but has finished outside the top 20 in his last two appearances at the British Open. This model just locked in picks for the Scottie Scheffler Open Championship here.

How to Pick the 2024 Open Championship
