“I was on the fence about mesh loafers, but seeing how casual and comfortable J.Law wears them has totally influenced me on the shoe trend, especially Alaïa’s Mary Janes, which the actress owns in both red and black. She tends to wear hers with baggy denim, and to me, they’re the perfect summer shoe because they’re dressier than sneakers but not as casual as flats. Suffice it to say, similar shoes have been in my shopping cart lately, and I have a lot of similar styling ideas in mind.” — Anna LaPlaca, Senior Editor

“At first, when high-end brands like Miu Miu, The Row brought in moccasin shoes, I immediately reminisced about the days of wearing school uniforms and living a similar lifestyle. I’m not sure if I’m ready to go back there. Looking at the way Jennifer Lawrence effortlessly pairs these pants with a white t-shirt, it feels like the perfect preppy combination without being too dressy. Immediately, I was sold. Her shoes from The Row are definitely my favorite.” — Sierra Mayhew, Contributing Editor

“When the mesh boot trend first started, I wasn’t entirely convinced it would last. I wanted a pair, yes, but they seemed too trendy and not very practical, especially was in New York where I live. Then I saw J.Law wearing a pair in the same city. When I found her exact shoes on sale a short time later, I knew I had to Tried them myself and I’m so glad I’ve worn them many times, both in the city and on vacation (I prefer them over sandals), they’re super comfortable and make any outfit pop. should be a little cooler.” — Huber

“For most of my life, I have been staunchly opposed to any shoe that is less than 4 inches high. Two recent events have changed my opinion: first, broken bones in the foot, and second, by Jennifer Lawrence Vanity fair Oscar after-party look. It’s one thing to see her wearing a Givenchy couture dress from the ’90s, but to see her on the carpet in a simple pair of strappy pumps from Manolo Blahnik? Well, that was the moment I was convinced. I’ve spent the past few months amassing a stash of designer heels, which I’ll be sending to J.Law later.” – Jasmine Fox-Suliaman, Editor

“I’ve been craving Mary Janes ever since I saw Jennifer Lawrence effortlessly wear Alaïa’s Crisscross Ballerina flats. The elegance and romance of traditional ballet flats combined with stylish straps at the table feet immediately drew me in. What I love most about these shoes is their versatility. They’re styled with cropped pants, wide-leg pants, baggy jeans, mini dresses, and skirts, making them versatile has become a staple in my wardrobe. However, since the Alaïa pair is beyond my budget, I’m exploring alternatives like Monde Beryl’s Mary Jane Ballet Flats and Can Aeyde’s Uma.” — Nikki Chwatt, Contributing Editor
