Honda Grom is perhaps the most fun anyone can have on two wheels. Team Red tried to get Americans interested in small motorcycles again, and after three generations of success, Grom is getting another skin for 2025. The pint-sized powersports icon is back another way to tear through your city at sub-limit speeds. It’s proven to be hugely popular thanks to its customization and accessible drivability, and doesn’t really need much updating after the third-gen revamp was such a big step forward. Grom is dead, long live Grom.

The third generation Grom arrives in 2021 with a new 5-speed transmission, an upgraded 125cc engine with 9.8 horsepower and a spin-on oil filter. It’s a big upgrade over the 2nd-gen model, and all of that carries over to the 4th-gen. It looks like the 2025 model will largely have new bodywork and new seats, but everything else will stay the same.
Honda says the upgrade comes with a ton of custom accessories, including “storage and styling upgrades.” The 2025 accessories haven’t been released to the world yet, but I’m looking forward to some interesting accessories from Grom.
The last time I tried Grom, I said “If everyone rode Groms, the world would be a happier place. It could be the key to world peace,” and I support that. Buy Grom, you will become a better person.

The new model starts at $3,599 and can be purchased in Candy Blue, Pearl White or Cherry Red. You can buy a Grom SP for an extra $100, only in Matte Black Metallic and swap the gold fork for a black one. If you want front-wheel ABS, it’ll cost you $3,799 and it’s only available in Pearl White. They will deliver to your local Honda Powersports dealer this month.
