World Oceans Day Contest 2023: Last day to enter!


The day has finally come! This is your last chance to submit your photos to the 10th United Nations World Oceans Day Photo Contest! All entries must be submitted by April 28 at 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).!⁠

In case you didn’t know, the contest offers a unique opportunity for photographers to showcase the vast breadth and depth of ocean beauty and shed light on the lesser-known promise and full potential. beneath its waves. The winners will be announced on stage during the United Nations World Oceans Day event on June 8 and televised live on UN TV.

This year’s submission categories are:

The United Nations World Oceans Day photo contest is curated by Ellen Cuylaerts and judged by a jury of world-renowned photographers. The 2023 competition was organized in partnership with the DPG, Oceanic Global, the United Nations Division of Ocean Affairs and Law of the Sea, Nausicaa, and UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission. The judges include: Rathika Ramasamy, Ipah Uid Lynn, Rajan Desai and Antoine Janssens.
