There have been several stories over the years about the possibility of resurrection The Simpsons Hit & Run – Grand Theft Auto-like game set in the fictional town of Springfield. While we can’t seem to go back, earlier this week fans of the 2003 title noticed how the game’s soundtrack has now been uploaded to services like Spotify and Apple Music:
No wonder there are some who wonder if the game could return in the near future. Back in 2021, Matt Selman – an individual who has worked on the animated show since 1997 – mentioned how he “would love” to see Hit & Run revived, but said bringing it returns will be “complicated” (through IGN):
“I would love to see a remake of [Simpsons Hit & Run]I will, [but] it’s a complicated corporate octopus to try to make that happen.”
In 2019, the game’s producer, Vlad Ceraldi, also expressed how “cool” the Hit & Run remake could be.
