I know the saying “diamonds are forever”, but forget diamonds. In my mind, hand bag is forever. All you have to do is know when to hang some styles for a few seasons to replace other, fresher alternatives. (To keep their shape, tuck them in newspaper before sending them to storage for the time being.)
This fall, I’ve noticed a larger-than-usual change in bag trend, with many tried-and-true favorites from a few seasons ago starting to feel stale when compared to the flashy new products designers promoted on fall runways. Prada’s once famous nylon Re-Edition bags have been replaced with its classic bow and briefcase-style bags, while shocking micro-wallets have been replaced for incredible large ones (for fall practicality is always trendy).
While it’s sad to say goodbye to bags of our most precious possessions on a daily basis over the past few years, it’s time for a change of guardians. Looking ahead, let’s see which styles are best to stock up on this season and which ones are worth replacing.
