Prince William and Prince Harry united once more, to say a final goodbye to their grandmother Queen Elizabeth II at her state funeral.
On September 19, the brothers joined their father King Charles III and the rest of the royal family escort the late king’s casket during a procession from London’s Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, where a memorial service is scheduled. William was accompanied by his wife, Kate MiddletonThe Princess of Wales, as well as their older children Prince George9 — currently second to the throne — and Princess Charlotte7. Harry joined his wife, Meghan Markle.
During the ceremony, participants will perform the newly revised UK national anthem, “God Save the King”, after two minutes of silence for the Queen.
After the ceremony, the queen’s coffin, dressed to the Royal Standard with the Crown of the Royal State, the Orb and the Scepter of the Sovereign, will go in procession to Wellington Gate, and then to Castle Windsor to perform the Pledge of Allegiance at St. George. The Prince and Princess of Wales as well as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are all scheduled to attend.
