Twitter Circle is a new feature that allows members to share tweets with specific people in a group. Here is how it works.
Twitter is a sensitive platform to share your views and feelings, and sometimes your views may not be accepted by most of your followers, especially if you have thousands of followers. Maybe some of your tweets are just for your friends or a specific type of followers. Twitter now has a solution for you with the Twitter Circle feature. This is as simple as the concept of a WhatsApp groups, where posts you create are shared only with people in your group. On Twitter, however, you do it a little differently.
Twitter Circle was initially rolled out to some users as part of testing. This feature is rolling out to everyone right now, and you can also enable it. Twitter Circle will let you create a small group of 150 people Everyone from your followers list. “Who do you choose in Twitter Circles and the individuals you’ve added can see, reply to, and interact with Tweets you share within the circle,” says Twitter in the official blog post.
Twitter Circles Open to Everyone
If you’ve been added to someone’s Twitter Circle, tweets they created for the Circle will have a green badge. This will be an identifier that tweets are restricted to a certain group of people. Note that these tweets cannot be retweeted by others.
Twitter initially began testing Twitter Circle in May 2022 with a limited number of users across iOS, Android, and the web.
But who should use Twitter Circle? According to Twitter, it can be used if you want to:
– more flexibility to choose who can see your Tweet
– feel more comfortable Tweeting and expressing yourself to selected people
– eliminates the need for alternate or sub-accounts
Along with Twitter Circles, there are a number of other features available on Twitter for users to try related to controlling chats.
-Change Who can reply to a Tweet midway through the chat! Twitter already has
improved Conversation Settings to allow people to “Change who can reply” to a Tweet
midway through a conversation or a series of tweets replies.
– Unmention: Twitter has also added the ability to remove your mention from a tweet or a chat.
– Remove followers: You can now quietly delete a follower instead of blocking them on Twitter.
