As in Pools 1 and 2, the KDFW pools assume that horses under the care of a coach suspended from the 2022 Kentucky Derby will not be considered. As a result, no horse currently trained by Bob Baffert, suspended from racing at the tracks owned by Churchill Downs Inc. until mid-2023, so that’s among the individual’s betting preferences. Those horses are put into the pari-mutuel school “All the other 3-year-olds”.
The total settlement for the KDFW pool February 11-13 — the third of five bets scheduled ahead of the 148th run of the $3 million Kentucky Derby on May 7 — is $328,461 ($235,012 in the Win pool and $93,448 in the Exactas).
The dates for the remaining Kentucky Derby 2022 future pools are March 11-13 (Group 4) and March 31 to April 2 (Group 5). The lone Longines Kentucky Oaks Futures Bet will coincide with KDFW Group 4 on March 11-13.
