2022 Audi TT RS says goodbye to Quattro Heritage Edition

One of the most interesting Audis around is leaving the US after the 2022 model year: five-cylinder turbocharged Audi TT RS. It’s not the end of the whole TT fortunately, is the standard TT series and TTS will continue to be offered, but the RS will disappear. Almost more painful than complete cessation, TT RS will still go on sale internationally after next year, meaning the US will be spared this disappointment. However, to mitigate the shock, Audi is producing 50 models of the 2022 TT RS Quattro Heritage Edition model specifically for the US.

The most unique features of the Heritage Edition are color combinations. Five options will be available, matching the car’s five-cylinder, with exterior colors based on the colors available on the stock Audi Quattro coupe. Each exterior color is combined with a unique interior color. You can see the combinations listed below.

  • Malachite Green with Cognac brown leather and black stitching
  • Alpine white with Ocean blue leather and silver stitching
  • Tizian red with Havana Brown leather and gray stitching
  • Helios Blue with Diamond silver leather and blue stitching
  • Stone Gray with Crimson red leather and gray stitching

Only 10 of each color combination will be constructed. Each vehicle also features a unique combination of exterior features including 20-inch wheels, aluminum accents, black exhaust pipes, OLED taillights and a switch from fixed rear spoiler to spoiler. electrically retractable wind. The inside of the steering wheel and gearshift lever are wrapped in Alcantara, the former having the 12-hour markers in the same leather as the seats. It also receives RS floor mats. In terms of performance, nothing has changed except for the addition of a 174 km/h speed limiter. However, we doubt any buyer will complain as the standard output of 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque is a lot of fun to play with.

The Heritage Edition’s exclusivity comes with a remarkably premium price tag. It starts at $82,495, which is $8,250 more than the regular TT RS. But the regular one will still be available if you still want to buy one of the coupes before it’s too late. All 2022 models will go on sale early next year. And luckily, even if you can’t catch the TT RS, the new RS 3 coming soon with the latest version of the five-cylinder, so the US won’t be completely without Audi’s signature engine.
