Photo: AcerAcer Spin 713 is one of the Favorite Chromebooks. It has one of the best-looking displays you’ll find in a Chromebook at this price, and the Intel i5 chip powers Chrome OS a lot. This lightweight laptop is one of the our favorites. The 11th Gen Intel Core i7 chip delivers great performance and long battery life. This version has 16 gigabytes of RAM and a 1 terabyte drive, which should cover everything you can use. You also get plenty of ports — HDMI, two USB-A and USB-C ports (which are Thunderbolt 4 capable and can double as a charging port). There’s also a headphone jack!
This laptop from Razer packs a respectable 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and a 512 gigabyte SSD. But its most striking feature is its vibrant 4K touch screen. The bezels around this display are thin enough to sometimes forget they’re even there.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2
Photo: SamsungSamsung’s Galaxy Chromebook 2 (8/10, Recommend with WIRED) is one of the most beautiful Chromebooks on the market. It has a sturdy, lightweight aluminum body with a build quality that surpasses many of the more expensive laptops I’ve tested. The bright, colorful display isn’t as pretty as the original 4K model, but it’s still much better than most Chromebooks. The original Galaxy Chromebook was also $599 off ($100 off). It has impressive specs, but the battery life isn’t great.
HP’s Specter x360 (9/10, Recommend with WIRE) has been a perennial favorite of ours. It’s a great looking laptop, and the specs on this 14-inch model should suit most people. You get an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8 gigabytes of RAM, and a 512 gigabyte SSD. For another $90 you can bump the RAM to 16 gigabytes, which is well worth it since the RAM here is soldered to the board.
This deal started back in October, but it’s still a pretty good deal. Once upon a time, this was the prettiest Chromebook on the market. Today, that prize would probably go to the Galaxy Chromebook above, but it’s still a solid machine, especially the Core i5 model on sale here.

27 inch WQHD Samsung Odyssey G7 gaming monitor
Photo: SamsungWith one Fast refresh rate (144 Hz) and supporting both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, this curved monitor delivers smooth graphics. This is the lowest price we’ve seen on this monitor, and it’s especially a good choice for gamers.
The G3 is a slight step down from the G7 above, with resolutions ranging from Wide QHD to Full HD, but it still has the same refresh rate and AMD FreeSync support, and it’s only half the price.
This is a pretty solid deal for a Full HD display of this size. There’s AMD FreeSync support, plus HDR, something we don’t normally see at this price point.

Netgear Orbi AX4200
Photo: NetgearWe haven’t tested Netgear’s Nighthawk XR1000 gaming router, but it purports to offer impressive speeds, apps for iOS and Android, and Wi-Fi 6 support.
Google’s Nest Mesh System is Easy to use and provide good coverage. It doesn’t support the new Wi-Fi 6 standard, but at this price point, it’s still a good choice. If you don’t have a lot of space to cover, a single unit (router only) is $139 at Amazon ($30 off).
Netgear, Best Buy (Pack of 2 for $330)
The Netgear Orbi AX4200 is our favorite Grid systems for large houses. It’s not the easiest to set up, but luckily, you only need to do it once. When you’re done, you have a system that easily covers large spaces and offers very good speeds, with very fast satellite nodes almost as fast as the main router.
