While jeans have always been a core part of my wardrobe, it’s not until the last few years that other styles of pants have become indispensable. With so many pants and tailoring creations, the options are seemingly endless and I’ve officially entered my pant-girl phase with a wardrobe focused on collecting the latest trends. The F/W 22 runways showcase many directional tights trends, and I’m focused on adding some key styles to my new season wardrobe.
Designers are experimenting with silhouettes and proportions — among them trousers and super wide jeans, both look great with everything from leather bodysuits to oversized outerwear as we’ve seen on the runways at The Row and Khaite. Pants are also becoming more industrial with utility-oriented translations including heavy duty leather pants and designer pants, which are entering the apparel market for the fall.
