3 Editor-Approved Summer Outfits | Who What Wear UK

Summer in NYC is unparalleled. The season hasn’t even officially started yet, and the city is already bustling with park theaters, outdoor dining, and of course, great fashion. This summer, I wanted to focus on having fun in the city without stressing about my outfit. Luckily, I work with a contributing fashion editor. Yusra Siddiquiwho has mastered the art of maximizing style with minimal effort. She says her summer vibe is “always easy and comfortable, yet polished and chic.” I regularly stop by her desk to ask where her looks come from, and lately, her answer has been On the 34th at Macy’s. This is no surprise – the site has a wide variety of fashionable and affordable products.

“I love On 34th because it has reliable basics like denim jackets and lightweight sweaters, but also trendy pieces like leopard print flats and pleated poplin dresses,” says Yusra. She went through 624 items (all under $150, by the way) and created these three easy, high-end outfits. Read on to see the looks she’s planning to wear on repeat this summer.

“If I had to pick a favorite outfit, it would be this one. I think everyone needs a white poplin dress this season. It’s so chic and super comfortable. It goes with everything from structured jackets to casual tees. Since the outfit is mostly neutral, I added a pop of red with a cardigan tied over the shoulders, which is an easy way to spice up any outfit.” — Yusra Siddiqui, Contributing Fashion Editor

“Double denim is an easy-to-wear outfit formula that never goes out of style in my book. When it comes to classic outfits like this, I like to add an on-trend accessory. That way, the set The outfit still feels fresh, but I don’t have to buy something I won’t wear again. In this case, leopard print flats do the trick. I can easily wear them lots of other pieces in my wardrobe and they make my simple denim outfit more interesting.” — Siddiqui

“I’ve never owned a pair of cargo pants, but after wearing these white pants, I think I need more. I love contrasting white pieces with black and metallic accessories (it’s such a perfect combination), so the black sweater and silver slingbacks are a must. Have. I used to think cargo pants were too casual, but with this combination, I still feel polite and trendy.” — Siddiqui
