The Hyundai Ioniq 5 2025 gets some notable updates, including a larger battery pack, Tesla North American Charging Standard (NACS) ports, and a beefier XRT variant. It will also be Hyundai’s first EV to be built at the automaker’s factory. New manufacturing complex in Georgianicknamed “Metaplant”.
Battery pack size increases from 58.0 kwh to 63.0 kwh for Standard Range models and 77.4 kwh to 84.0 kwh for Long Range models—with EPA range expected to increase for both. Hyundai estimates the standard single-motor SE’s range will increase by 20 miles, to 240 miles. The Ioniq 5 XRT gets a 0.9-inch suspension lift, new suspension tuning, all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, and a digital camouflage exterior finish. It’s only available with the dual-motor powertrain and larger battery pack, but Hyundai didn’t have a range estimate at press time.

The Ioniq 5 will be Hyundai’s first electric vehicle to have pre-built Tesla NACS Charging PortHyundai says it will open up access to more than 17,000 Tesla Supercharger stations without the need for an adapter.
