Ford Maverick 2025 Hybrid adds four-wheel drive option as part of a mid-cycle refresh that also includes slightly revised styling and more tech features. The front-wheel-drive Maverick hybrid will also continue, along with a non-hybrid 2.0-liter turbo-4 powertrain.

Available on XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, meaning only the Tremor off-road version is skipped, the all-wheel-drive hybrid uses the same system as the front-wheel-drive version, combining a 2.5-liter inline-four and a 94-kW electric motor for 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque.

The Maverick hybrid can still tow up to a ton, but the new 4K Tow Package (also available on non-hybrid models) bumps the maximum towing capacity to 4,000 lbs. The hybrid’s maximum payload capacity is 1,500 lbs with front-wheel drive and 1,400 lbs with four-wheel drive.
