2024 Travelers Championship odds, picks, fields: Surprising predictions from golf model nailing 13 majors

The PGA Tour will travel to TPC River Highlands in Connecticut for the 2024 Travelers Championship, the final Feature Event of the season. Defending champion Keegan Bradley is part of the 2024 Travelers Championship field, which includes proven winners like Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Jordan Spieth. With a win this week, Bradley will become the first golfer to come from behind at the Travelers Championship since Phil Mickelson (2001-02).

According to the latest 2024 Travelers Championship odds, Scheffler will go out at 4-1, followed by Schauffele (15-2), Ludvig Aberg (16-1) and Collin Morikawa (16-1 ). Should your 2024 Travelers Championship bet include backing one of the favorites or should you target Bradley, who is among the players with an attractive long record of 55 -1 on the PGA odds table? Before finalizing your 2024 Travelers Championship picks, remember See golf predictions and projected rankings from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Top predictions for the 2024 Travelers Championship

A big surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 Travelers Championship: Schauffele, the event’s 2022 champion and one of the top favorites, stumbled and barely rounded out the top 5. Schauffele won his first professional tournament at the PGA Championship in May and he has had success at TPC River Highlands in his career. He also enters this week’s event with confidence having finished T-8 or better in each of his last four starts on the PGA Tour.

However, Schauffele has recorded just one win in his last 42 starts on tour and he entered the Travelers Championship ranked outside the top 30 for both driving accuracy (67.17 %) and one-putt percentage (42.37%). He’s also 168th in receptions from 50-125 yards (22’9) this season, which doesn’t bode well for Schauffele’s chances at the top of this week’s rankings. Look who’s weak here.

Another surprise: Tony Finau, who shot 35-1, won the title strongly. He has a much better chance of winning it all than the odds imply, so he’s a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.

Finau is a long-ball hitter who is averaging 308.2 yards per shot this season, good for 25th on the PGA Tour. Finau also ranked third in strokes gained: greens approach (0.875) and 19th in greens in regulation (68.32%), which bodes well for a course like TPC River Highlands. He’s also been extremely consistent in recent weeks, finishing T-8 or better in his last two starts. If he can make some putts this week, he will have a great chance of competing at the 2024 Travelers Championship. See who else to come back to here.
