2024 Olympic Basketball Odds: US Women Split From the Pool as Favorites

ARE NOT Caitlin Clark? Nothing.

To the delight of the bettors who backed them, the U.S. women’s basketball team continued to dominate in Paris — even without one of its WNBA of The newest superstars on the list.

“They’re going to be fine — they’re going to win the gold medal and dominate, so I’m not worried,” Clark said at the All-Star Game post-match press conference after she, along with her fellow rookies, Angel Reesehelped lead the All-Stars to a 117-109 victory over the team participating in the 2024 Olympics.

And as predicted, Clark’s prediction may be correct.

The Olympic women’s basketball team is a consistent winner; they have won gold medals nine times and are on a streak of consecutive gold medal wins dating back to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

It won the bronze medal in 1992 and the silver medal in 1976.

As usual, this year’s team features a mix of WNBA veterans, champions and Olympians, such as Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson And Chelsea Grey. Newcomers to the list include Alyssa Thomas, Sabrina Ionescu And Kahleah Coin.

With Caitlin not making the Olympic squad, “Herd” host Colin the Cowboy explain why the United States could benefit from her involvement.

Will Caitlin Clark prove she deserves to be in the Olympics?

“She helped her WNBA All-Star team beat the U.S. Olympic women’s team. She’s the best rebounder — she had 10 assists,” Cowherd said. “Obviously she stretches the court, she’s great at creating spacing, and she’s also — in my opinion — the perfect Olympic or All-Star player.”

“The women’s Olympic team said, ‘You know, if we put her on the team, she’s definitely going to be a distraction.’ Well, you know what a distraction is? She Are not on the team. Caitlin Clark is on the Olympic team.”
